Pyramids

14-05-2007

"-...but you mentioned something about hieroglyphics and the pyramids...?
-Right... they're oil and water never mixed.
Meaning?
-The hieroglyphic record documents virtually shows every aspect of ancient egyptian culture royal ceremonies and blood-lines, religious initions, magic spells, mysticism, embalming and mummification, animal husbandry, grain sales, the history of the gods, games and feasts... but the one thing is missing is that which should have been most celebrated... allegedly their single greatest accomplishment... the erection of the great pyramids an the sphinx at Giza.
-And the reason?
-Blasphemously simple... the egyptians did not erect them. To this day no one knows how they could have done it... theories golore, yes, but flaws in every one.
-Such as?
-We know where the quarries are, but if the blocks were ferried on barges down the Nile, surely there were a few mishaps along the way. Yet the divers have never found a single block at the bottom of the river out of the twenty-three million transported. Then there's the theory of a mammoth ramp winding round the pyramid as the blocks were laid higher, but such a ramp would have equaled more than the volume of the pyramid itself... and the ramp's construction would have required mor labor than the monuments, which is what we're trying to explain in the first place, making the "solution" more staggering than the problem. And if a ramp was used, where did it go? There's no sign of the debris anywhere. so the hieroglyphics show us everything except barges and ramps because there wer no barges and ramps. They show us everything except how the pyramids were built because the hieroglyph artists didn't know how they were built... because the pyramids were already here.
-Why are you so sure?
-Because these monuments were laid out when the part-lion sphynx directly faced the constellation of the lion at equinox sunrise... some 14.000 years ago... or 10.ooo years before the egyptians.
-You're serious, aren0t you?
-We may all be serious.
-What's that supposed to...?
-Look, the egyptian high culture was truly magnificent, but it was still nothing but a distorted imitation of something far more profound... which existed and vanished long before. There are now three proofs, on of which I can only show you at night... tomorrow night, after we set uo camp here... As for the other two proofs... First the oldest pyramids... these... are the only oones that have truly withstood time... while the later, newer pyramids have all collapsed into rubble, suggesting the opposite of progress... because they were built by the egyptians, as inferior imitations of older structures erected by someone else. And second, desert erosion of rock is always horizontal, caused by the wind gradually scouring away the softer strata layers...
-Makes sense.
-But on the sphynx... which was buried and protected under sand for millenia, we find nothing but the vertical erosion of dripping water... as proven by John Anthony West and geologist Robert Schoch. West's fellow egyptologists rejected the proof. It would descredit their carrers... but the world council of geologits fully confirmed Schoch's findings. Their carreers remain safe whether the pharaoh Khufu built the Sphynx or not. The geologist, you see, simply examined the hard evidence, with no extraneous agenda.
-And the evidence proves...?
-That the sphynx has weathered prolonged and heavy rainfall... and the last time there was enough rain here to cause vertical erosion was at the precessional midpoint... the time of the last ople shift, 14.000 years agor. Long before Egypt became a desert, and back when this region was lus jungle."

Some Batman's Elsewords story which name I can remember right now XD
